The town of Bells lies in Grayson County in North Texas, on the blackland prairie north of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and about 32 miles northeast of McKinney. It is a small farming community in the Red River valley region, near the larger cities of Sherman and Denison. The surrounding land is level to gently rolling farmland long given over to grain and cattle.
