Splitting Land Can Trigger Williamson County Plat Review
If you split rural land in Williamson County, county review may be needed, even outside city limits. Williamson County has local subdivision rules. New applications follow the version in place when they are filed.
Roads and utilities can be part of the same review. The County Engineer and Road and Bridge staff handle development rules, road work, and utility work in county right-of-way.
Before selling a cut-out tract, filing a plat, or promising access, talk with Williamson County Development Services. If the land is in a city's ETJ, city review may also be involved.
