New Rural Structures Need a Williamson County 9-1-1 Address
A new house, shop, second dwelling, or driveway in rural Williamson County needs a real 9-1-1 address. Directions from the county road are not enough. The Addressing Staff assigns addresses for utilities, phone service, and similar needs.
The county has rules for rural-style and city-style addresses. A steady address helps an ambulance, meter worker, delivery driver, and permit reviewer all find the same gate.
Ask GIS and 9-1-1 Addressing early, before meters, service orders, or private-road names get tangled. If the land is inside a city or ETJ, ask whether the city has its own step.
