The County Nature Preserve Is a Quiet Pruitt Road Greenway
The Montgomery County Nature Preserve sits behind the county recycling facility at 1122 Pruitt Road in south Montgomery County. It is an easy-to-miss patch of woods and meadow.
The county lists bird watching, native plant study, and hiking there, with looped trails reaching toward Spring Creek. The 71-acre greenway is protected by a conservation easement held by Legacy Land Trust.
It is free and open to the public daily. In a busy part of the county, the preserve gives neighbors a small green place to learn the birds, plants, and creek patterns.
