Mission Reach Makes the San Antonio River Feel Like a Southside Park
Mission Reach is the southside, nature-forward stretch of the San Antonio River Walk. It is an eight-mile linear park with more than 16 miles of trail for walking, biking, canoeing, and kayaking.
This part of the river feels different from downtown. Native Texas grasses and wildflowers were restored along the banks. Mission Portal art points people toward the World Heritage mission sites.
For residents and visitors, Mission Reach shows the river as more than a downtown attraction. It is also a southside place for outdoor time, paddling, and mission-area history.
