Disabled Parking Placards Are a One-Form Trip to the Wichita County Tax Office
Disabled parking placards and plates start with TxDMV Form VTR-214. Your doctor or health care provider fills out the disability statement, so get that part done before you go to the tax office.
File the form with the Wichita County Tax Office at 600 Scott Avenue, Suite 103. Temporary placards have a small fee; permanent placards are free. You can ask for a placard, a set of placards, or plates, depending on what TxDMV allows for your situation.
The placard only counts when the person with the disability is in the vehicle. TxDMV says misuse can bring fines up to $1,250 and up to 50 hours of community service.
