A driveway onto a Travis County road may need a permit

Outside city street systems, a driveway can be more than a private choice. Where it meets a Travis County maintained road, the access point may need a county driveway permit.

That permit shows up on both single-family and commercial development tracks. For a home on acreage or a small business site, the entrance can depend on the curb cut, culvert, drainage, and right-of-way work.
