Burn Ban Orders Cover Unincorporated El Paso County
El Paso County burn bans are not permanent background rules. They are court orders tied to current drought and wildfire conditions in unincorporated areas.
The order adopted April 27, 2026, barred outdoor burning there for 90 days starting May 1, 2026. It listed a July 30 end date and tied violations to a Class C misdemeanor with a fine of up to $500.
Because these orders expire, change, and come back, an old screenshot is not enough. Use the current county order, Commissioners Court materials, or official emergency notices for the live answer.
