Whiteface is a small town on the High Plains of the Texas Panhandle, in Cochran County near the level, semi-arid farmland of the Llano Estacado. It stands about 45 miles west of Lubbock, in a landscape of cotton fields and open plains where irrigated agriculture and oil and gas activity anchor the local economy.
