Wellman, Texas

Wellman is a small city in Terry County on the southern High Plains of West Texas, about 50 miles southwest of Lubbock. It sits amid the flat, open cotton farmland that has long defined Terry County, one of the leading cotton-producing areas of the state, with oil and gas also woven through the local economy. The town began as a shipping point on the railroad that crossed the plains and remains a quiet farming community.
