Sweetwater, Texas

Sweetwater lies in the rolling plains of West Texas in Nolan County, roughly 40 miles west of Abilene along Interstate 20. The town is widely known for its annual Rattlesnake Roundup, held each March and billed as the largest event of its kind, and its surrounding country has become a center of the Texas wind-energy industry, with turbines lining the ridges of the region.
