Spring Valley Village is a small incorporated city entirely surrounded by the Houston metropolitan area in Harris County, on the flat Gulf Coastal Plain a short distance west of central Houston. It belongs to the cluster of independent Memorial-area municipalities known collectively as the Memorial Villages, residential enclaves bordered by the larger city on all sides. The landscape is low and level, wooded in places with pine and hardwoods characteristic of the upper Gulf Coast.
