Queen City, Texas

Queen City is a small city in Cass County, set among the pine and hardwood forests of the East Texas Piney Woods about 57 miles northeast of Longview. It began as a stop on the Texas and Pacific Railway, and the surrounding region long depended on timber and sawmilling as its economic backbone. The town remains a forested rural community in the far northeastern corner of the state.
