Mission, Texas

Mission is a city in Hidalgo County in the Rio Grande Valley, sitting just west of McAllen near the Rio Grande and the Texas-Mexico border. It is closely tied to the Valley's citrus industry and is widely known as the home of the Ruby Red grapefruit, which was developed in the region, and the city has hosted the Texas Citrus Fiesta for generations.
