Llano, Texas
Llano lies along the Llano River in the granite country of the central Texas Hill Country, roughly 60 miles west of Georgetown. The town sits within the Llano Uplift, a region of exposed pink granite domes and boulder-strewn hills, and pink granite quarried nearby has been used in Texas landmark buildings. Surrounded by ranchland prized for white-tailed deer, Llano is widely known as a hunting destination and is often called the Deer Capital of Texas.
