Groesbeck sits in Limestone County in Central Texas, on the rolling farm and ranch land about 37 miles east of Waco. The town is best known for its ties to Old Fort Parker, a reconstructed 1830s stockade nearby where the Comanche captured young Cynthia Ann Parker, whose son Quanah Parker became one of the last Comanche chiefs.
