Dodson is a small town in Collingsworth County, in the Panhandle and High Plains country of the eastern Texas Panhandle. It lies about 112 miles southeast of Amarillo, in a region of flat to gently rolling farm and ranch land in the far eastern part of the Panhandle. The surrounding area is given over largely to agriculture and cattle ranching.
