Corsicana, Texas
Corsicana is the seat of Navarro County in the Blackland Prairie of North Texas, about 52 miles southeast of Dallas. The town is closely associated with the early Texas oil industry, as a significant oilfield was developed in the surrounding area in the late 19th century. Corsicana is also widely known for its long tradition of fruitcake baking, a mail-order confection produced in the city and shipped well beyond Texas.
