Booker, Texas
Booker is a town on the far northern edge of the Texas Panhandle, straddling the Lipscomb County line about 114 miles northeast of Amarillo. It has an unusual origin: the settlement was moved piecemeal to its present site to reach a new rail line. It sits amid the flat, dry, wind-swept farm and ranch country of the High Plains.

Booker crosses county lines, so the appraisal district and tax office depend on the parcel address. School, city-limit, MUD, PID, and other special-district lines can be different too. Start with the full county list below instead of treating one county as the answer.
