No bag or possession limit when hunted for recreation (not to sell the fur).

License & add-ons
To hunt them for fun, a hunting license is enough. To sell the pelts or carcasses, you need a Trapper's License (about $19 for residents) and must follow trapping seasons.
Quirks & things to watch
- Otters need a TPWD CITES tag.
- Furbearers may be hunted at night on private land with a light.
- No license is needed to remove nuisance furbearers damaging your crops, livestock, or property.
