Building Permits Inside the Kerrville City Limits
Inside Kerrville city limits, many building jobs need a city permit before work starts. That can include carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and concrete work. Outside the city, the rules can be different.
Kerrville uses MyGovernmentOnline for permit applications and inspections. Plan review can take about ten business days. The city collects a plan-review fee first, then the permit fee after review.
Make sure the permit is issued to the contractor doing the work. If it is in the homeowner's name, the homeowner is responsible for code compliance.
